when i read a book i generally listen to music. i have a really really bad attention span and the music drowns out all of the outside noise. by the time i end a book the music that i listened to while reading now has a whole new meaning. everytime i listen to sondre lerche, for instance, i think of a million tiny pieces. whenever i read the book thief, i can hear the song far far. when i listen to far far, i instantly flash back to the book. the song perfectly fits the book. in my mind at least. both are beautiful on their own but together they paint an even more beautiful picture. if you have read the book and are now listening to the song, i would really like to know if you think they match as well as i do.
this is wildfire. they were amazing live. this is their daytrotter session and i had to download it after seeing them at barnstormer. their lead singer was in a leg brace or cast and was still on stage doin’ his thing. i don’t mean he was sitting in a chair on stage. he was standing up. jumping around. playing guitar and singing his heart out. it was awesome. i think they were the highlight of the night even though i met bill and josh after them.
a bunch of jerkbags are standing in my hall screaming for no reason. then they begin to laugh about it. i feel like saying something to them would yield no positive results. it’s times like these that i cannot stand college and the people who go here. in this aspect it’s like living with the people you go to high school with. dumb.
hey dudes, here is a song for today. i started listening to this guy a few years a go after i found him on purevolume. his voice is gorgeous. after listening to this, if you decide that you enjoy him, i highly recommend some of the covers he has done on youtube. these covers are say/bleeding heart, viva la vida, and starlight. they are wonderful. have a great tuesday.
i have spent the last two days watching misfits. it was a well spent two days. the show is wonderful. i don’t think i have ever watched a show with better comedic relief. i highly recommend it. go watch it. really do it.
i saw madi at barnstormer v and i am glad that i did. she is brilliant. her music is heart wrenching and pretty sad. there are a few “fun” song such as kiss and let’s go. this song was so good and really stuck with me. i hope that you enjoy this and seek out some of her other songs.
